How To Install Sony Xperia S has supported dual boot with Boot Manager

Sony Xperia S has supported dual boot with Boot Manager. Sony Xperia S has supported Android dual boot with Boot Manager, Senior member of xda letama has released a dual boot with Boot manager developer.Aplikasi version is still under development at the Xperia S that still need to get the development of the other party developers.

This is for devs and advanced users only, you would have to fiddle a lot to get the second build to run, you need an arm toolchain to embed both kernels and you have to modify its cpio.

I’m working on tools to flash kernels directly on device, but they’re not ready yet. And ideally, CWM would need to be extended to support two environments. Don’t expect quick progress, I don’t have much free time to work on this.

Here are some details on how it works:
- Trimmed down a stock kernel to remove some fat and add a driver to set a specific memory location.
- Embed a small assembly loader with this kernel and its cpio plus the other 2.
- The tiny kernel is loaded first, it displays the menu and eventually starts cwm. The menu will set the memory location with the kernel choice, then reboot.
- At next reboot, the assembly loader will detect the kernel choice and start the appropriate kernel.

For those developers who want to develop applications that can easily join the XDA Developers

A custom rom for Android developers have successfully ported the latest operating system from Google to the Galaxy S III. OS 4.1.1 Jelly Bean portingan results from the Galaxy Nexus ran very smooth and fast and very stable (little bug). All applications and features of the Jelly Bean Galaxy Nexus runs perfectly on the Galaxy S III including Audio, Video, Camera, Video Camera, Browser, WiFi, 3G HSDPA, Gmail, Play Store, etc., as well as Google Now.

Galaxy SIII got early flavors of Jellybean, now comes a Stable Jellybean AOSP Android 4.1.1, with almost everything working.

What’s Working
- WiFi – BT – NFC
- HW Composer – Sensors – Audio
- Data – Calls – SMS – MMS
- Mostly Everything is Working

Instructions:
- Copy Google Apps and ROM to your internal SD Card
- Enter Recovery
- Do a Wipe/Factory Reset
- Flash Android 4.1.1 JB ROM
- Flash Google Apps
- Reboot your device!

In fact, according to reports from some users who’ve tried it say that the performance of the Galaxy S III with Android Jelly Bean is faster than Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7 itself. Keep in mind because this OS is port of Jelly Bean (AOSP) for the Galaxy Nexus then do not expect the appearance of the TouchWiz UI, the default features such as Smart Stay S III, Pop Up Play, and so forth, and did not rule you will find some bug, but certainly this ROM safe and stable enough for normal everyday use. Instructions:
1. download all 3 parts of image and place them in to single folder.

- installbt.sh

4. using terminal emulator run following commands
Code:su
cd /sdcard/bt
sh installbt.sh

5. Now your BT should be configured automatically.

6. to use your BackTrack you can use following commands.
- startbt <- mounts and prepares the system for usage.
- stopbt <- unmounts and free up all resources.
- bt <- a command line version of BT chroot.

7. Inside bt shell.
- ui <- will start vncserver (default password is 12345678, you can change it using vncpasswd command on bt shell)
- killui <- stops the running vncserver.

8. Any Available VNC client can be used to connect to the BT GUI.
- Nick : BackTrack (bt for short)
- address : localhost
- port : 5901
- password : 12345678
- inside vnc window select input mode (following works best for me)
Touch Mouse; D-Pad Pan
