New T-Hub 2 tablet from Telstra revealed

Telstra came out with is next T-Hub device and it has got its new T-Hub 2 tablet with 7-inch display which will run of the Gingerbread version of the Android platform which is an update of Ice Cream Sandwich. This will have 1 GHz OMAP processor and the customers who have got this model can have the apps downloaded to the tablet from the Google Play Store.

This will help them to make hands-free phone calls. The T-Hub 2 bundle has a cordless phone handset. The device will have an app called Telstra Share which is a media sharing app. This will allow the users to stream media from this tablet device to the DLNA compatible devices present in the home.

The tablet needs about 2 GB of memory for the storage of apps and media. It has a micro-SD card reader to expand the storage. Those Telstra customers who have a home phone service and BigPond broadband account can have a T-Hub 2 to their bundle by paying AU$15 per month or they can also purchase this unit by paying AU$360.

The existing T-Hub owners can upgrade to this new model just at half the price but they will need to pay continuously for the original model if the contract is still there. The device will be at store from July 17th.
